KORA · Execution

KORA places execution at the centre of every training session. How you move is as important as what you move.

Control the movement

Own each position rather than simply passing through it. Controlled execution produces a better training stimulus than sloppy loading.

Feel the intended target

Understand which area a movement is intended to develop. If you cannot feel the target, something in the execution needs adjusting before you increase the load.

Maintain appropriate technique

Technique should not be sacrificed simply to move more weight. A lighter load with correct execution is more valuable than a heavier load with breakdown.

Avoid ego lifting

Ego lifting — using load beyond what allows appropriate execution — is explicitly inconsistent with KORA. The question is not how much you can move. It is whether you can produce the intended stimulus appropriately.

The KORA form question

Can I produce the intended training stimulus appropriately?
